Il y a peu de temps, je suis allé faire une excursion dont j’avais souvent entendu parlé mais que je n’avais encore jamais faite : celle du mont Takao.
C’était en pleine semaine afin d’éviter la foule, et même si la météo annonçait de l’orage à un moment de la journée, il n’en fut rien. Au contraire, le beau temps était au rendez-vous et les températures encore largement supportables, les conditions parfaites étaient réunies pour l’exploration de la montagne aux portes de Tokyo.
Surplombant la ville de Hachioji, l’endroit est à environ cinquante minutes de train du centre de Tokyo, ce qui en fait un lieu facilement accessible pour les amoureux de la promenade et de la randonnée en pleine nature.
名前はよく耳にしていていたものの、まだ行けていなかった高尾山へ、この間行ってきました。
人混みを避けての週の真ん中、天気予報では時々荒れ模様な日でしたが、気温も程よく高尾山散策には最適な日でした。
八王子の街を見下ろすロケーション、都心部から約50分という立地で、ハイキングや散策好きな方にも行きやすくおすすめの場所です。
Not long ago, I went on an excursion that I had often heard about but never done before : this of Mount Takao.
It was in the middle of the week to avoid the crowd, and even if the weather cast said it would be stormy at some point in the day, it was not. Actually, the weather was good and the temperatures were still widely bearable, the conditions were perfect for exploring the mountain near Tokyo.
Overlooking the town of Hachioji, the place is about fifty minutes by train from the center of Tokyo, making it an easily accessible place for lovers of walking and hiking in the wilderness.
Arrivé sur place, plusieurs alternatives sont offertes pour explorer l’endroit. Il y a différents sentiers plus ou moins abruptes avec plusieurs endroits pour effectuer une pause si l’envie vous en dit. Et pour ceux qui veulent gagner du temps, vous pouvez emprunter soit le funiculaire ( le plus en pente du pays, 33° d’inclinaison ! ), soit le télésiège qui permettent tout deux d’éviter la première moitié du trajet jusqu’au sommet.
Je me suis laissé tenter par le Tengu-yaki, un taiyaki aux haricots noirs sucrés en forme de Tengu et le Tengu-chikara-cha, un thé vert bien frais qui vous confère le pouvoir du Tengu !
到着すると、散策コースの案内があります。いくつかのコースが選べ、途中で休憩ポイントなどもあります。また、時間を短縮したい方には山頂までの前半をケーブルカー（傾斜33°・日本一急傾斜）、二人乗りリフトで登る方法もあります。
天狗に縁のある高尾山ならではのご当地名物、天狗焼と天狗力茶を頂きました。
On arrival, several alternatives are offered to explore the place. There are different paths more or less abrupt with several places to pause if you need. And for those who want to save time, you can take either the cablecar (the steepest of the country, 33° of inclination!), or the chairlift that both avoid the first half of the way to the summit .
I tried the Tengu-yaki, a Tengu-shaped sweetened black bean taiyaki and the Tengu-chikara-cha, a fresh green tea that gives you the power of the Tengu!
Car oui, vous le verrez rapidement, l’endroit fait souvent référence aux Tengu, ces êtres représentés tels des Yamabushi ( moines guerriers ) affublés d’un bec ou d’un long nez.
Ils sembleraient que plusieurs d’entre eux protègent la forêt et la montagne.
Le folklore japonais est à leur sujet aussi passionnant que flou et il est souvent difficile de savoir si ces êtres souvent considérés comme des kami ( divinité ) ou encore yokai ( esprit surnaturel ) sont bons ou malfaisants.
高尾山にはいたるところで天狗に関するものを目にします。それらは、嘴と長い鼻を持つ山伏の風貌をしています。
彼らは山と森を護っているとされていますが、日本の言い伝えや伝承はとても興味深く、数多く存在する神（神格）や妖怪（自然に宿る魂）の善悪の本質を捉えるのはしばしば困難です。
Because yes, you will see it quickly, the place often refers to the Tengu, these beings represented as Yamabushi (warrior monks) furnished with a beak or a long nose.
It seems that many of them protect the forest and the mountain.
Japanese folklore is about them as fascinating as it is fuzzy, and it is often difficult to know whether these beings often regarded as kami (divinity) or yokai (supernatural spirit) are good or evil.
Vous pouvez visiter le Yakuo-in, le temple bouddhiste situé à flan de montagne où l’on vénère les Tengu, dont un plus principalement qui se nomme Izuna Daigongen.
Ces divinités sont en tout cas ici bienveillantes, tant que l’on respecte la nature qu’elle protègent du haut des innombrables grands arbres qui peuplent le mont Takao.
Une petite prière à leur égare vous protégera contre la malchance et favorisera justement votre bonne fortune.
山頂までの道中には、仏教寺院・薬王院があり、ご本尊「飯綱大権現」の随身として天狗が祀られています。
高尾山は飯綱信仰とともに天狗信仰の霊山としても知られ、天狗様が山の木々の上から自然を慈しみ護っていると言われており、そこを訪れ参拝することで、不幸から護り幸運をもたらしてくれます。
You can visit the Yakuo-in, the Buddhist temple located on the mountain side where the Tengu are worshiped, including a mostly named Izuna Daigongen.
In any case, these deities are benevolent, as long as we respect the nature that they protect from the tops of the innumerable large trees that populate Mount Takao.
A little prayer for them will protect you against bad luck and will actually favor your good fortune.
Je dois dire avoir été charmé par l’endroit même en n’ayant pas pu apercevoir le Mont Fuji du sommet de la montagne à 599 mètres de hauteur.
On va de surprises en découvertes, la forêt est rafraîchissante et ressourçante, l’exploration reste agréable et offre parfois des moments inattendus comme cette bataille entre un serpent et un lézard dont ce dernier s’en est sortit vivant en sectionnant sa propre queue au dernier moment, laissant le prédateur rampant dans un état perplexe.
Le joli moment de cette balade fut venu du ciel, où un nuage nous a bien fait comprendre que la divinité au long nez gardait sur nous son regard bienveillant.
標高599メートル、富士山を見ることはできませんでしたが、とても魅力的な山でした。
爽やかな森林の中を歩いていると様々な驚くような発見があり、道中、蛇とトカゲの戦いを目撃しました。トカゲは自分の尻尾を残して逃げ、蛇からうまく身を守れたのでした。
ふと空を見ると天狗のような長い鼻を持った雲が。見護っているということを感じられる、美しい瞬間でした。
I must say that I was charmed by the place, even i wasn’t able to see Mount Fuji from the summit of the mountain at 599 meters in height.
We go from surprises to discoveries, the forest is refreshing and rejuvenating, the exploration is pleasant and sometimes offers unexpected moments like this battle between a snake and a lizard of which the latter escaped alive by severing his own tail at the last moment, leaving the crawling predator perplexed.
The beautiful moment of this walk came from the sky, where a cloud made us understand that the divinity with the long nose was keeping its benevolent gaze upon us.
Il y a encore beaucoup de choses à explorer sur cette montagne qui parait-il est la plus visitée au monde, mais ça sera pour une prochaine fois.
Il fallait se hâter car non loin de là, les lucioles allaient apparaître. Mais ce dernier spectacle, j’ai préféré le photographier avec mes yeux, et profiter d’un moment magique que je n’avais pas vu depuis enfant !

世界で一番訪れている人が多いと言われている高尾山、まだまだ見所はたくさんあるのですが、それはまた次の機会に。
高尾山からほど近い場所で蛍が見られるとのことで、時間が限られていたため、急ぎ高尾山を後にし、子供の頃以来目にしていなかった、魔法のような時間を楽しみました。

There is still plenty to explore on this mountain that appears to be the most visited in the world, but it will be for a next time.
We had to hurry because not far away, the fireflies were about to appear. But this last show, I preferred to photograph it with my eyes, and enjoy a magical moment that I had not seen since child!
